Un-released Shaw Brothers movie. This movie is on the Singapore ZiiEagle Box but this version is not ripped from it. This is a TV recording from a Singapore TV Channel. A DVD recorder was used (not by me). Quality similar to IVL DVD releases. Compared to IVL DVD releases I would grade it 7/10. Minor pixels in certain scenes. Li Tzu An (Hong Hoi) advises his friend Fang Meng Yeh (Wa Lun) to marry a rich man’s daughter Mei Lei so that Fang can live with her style. But when they meet Fanf refuses ti give Mei Lei even a second look because she is overweight.
One night on the way home from a drinking session with Li, Fang meets a beautiful girl escorted by a maid holding a lantern in the shape of a peony flower. Fang is attracted by her charm and he tries to court her but his efforts are frustrated by the maid’s clever tactics.
