Chief detective Lu is puzzled by the mysterious murder of two of his informers planted at the Black Widow Nightclub, a front for a local drug-smuggling ring. He summons Kang Hua (Wang Hsieh) to help out.
Kang Hua is on leave and in love with wealthy Fang Ling (Man Ling), but agrees to assist after he is shown a picture of beautiful singer Chiang Feng (Julie Yeh Feng) who is supposed to be a gang member. He approaches her disguised as a Canadian Chinese.
After several days photographing movement around the club, Kang Hua discovers the old friend Li San (Wong Chung Shun) working there as floor captain and solicits his support. Kang Hua’s sudden disappearance arouses Fang Ling’s suspicion.
She hires private detective Lei Tien to bring him back.
