An old wheelchair-bound lady Mrs. Shih (Wang Lai) lives with her granddaughters Yu Mei (Lily Li Li Li) and Yu Lan (Tai Liang Chun), an aged manservant Chuan (Wang Ho) and a maid (Yau Chui Ling) in an old mansion under a curse dating back to a tragedy many years ago.
She invites Yu Mei’s uncle Wang Ho and his wife (Lo Wan Yin) to move into the house with their son Chin Hua (Ngaai Fei) and daughter Ming Ming.
She appoints Wang as her property trustee, but Wang’s greedy wife wants her son to marry Yu Mei to bring the family wealth into her own hands.
