Two detectives, John (John Sham) and Richard (Richard Ng) are good friend and partner. They involve in the job of protecting a very vital witness, who is a pretty young girl, May (May Lo). May's curiosity and nosy character has irritated Richard tremendously.
Meanwhile, Richard's wife, Deanie (Deanie Ip) is coming back to Hong Kong. Amidst the tension and adventure, John mistakes that Richard is dying of cancer, this eventually results in a series of hilarious situations and at the end Richard realizes the reason behind the fuss, but he decides to take advantage of John's misunderstanding.
