Intelligent Design and Freedom of Thought: Phillip E. Johnson, founder of the Intelligent Design Movement, presents many insurmountable problems linked to the theory of evolution. He details some of the metaphysical philosophical beliefs (relgion) by which the theory is promoted and the lack of supporting and out-right fraudulent evidence that is taught in public school as refutation to God and His biblical creation. Proselytizers of the evolution faith have been able to convinence the public that it is a subject of "science vs God" (or fact vs biblical faith). But is that really the case or is it simply an erroneous statement devised to convience the public mindset of another false relisious system in guise of science but one which science actually fails to support? The theory of evolution is controversial because a majority of Americans suspect what is in fact the case. When the theory is extended to Darwin's macro-evolution (the real purpose of the evolution theory which allegedly explains how species evolve into new life forms - e.g., apes to man), it is not derived from the data, nor is it testable. Textbooks claim that the theory is supported by overwhelming evidence, but the standard textbook evidence has been thoroughly discredited by books like Icons of Evolution, by Jonathan Wells. Parents who want to know how the textbook claims have been discredited should sit down with their children to watch the videotape Icons of Evolution. Try to get teachers, school administrators, and other influential citizens to watch it too, along with the companion video Unlocking the Mystery of Life. The evidence discrediting Darwinism is embarrassing to some educators, so be prepared for resistance if you ask them to make this evidence available to students or even to watch the video themselves.
