Durante la sua infanzia viene cresciuta e protetta da un gruppo chiamato True Beliviers, che quando vedono accrescere sempre più i poteri della giovane decidono di affidarla a una persona di nome Tale (Jake McLaughlin), l'unico in grado di proteggerla e di controllare le sue capacità. Tale è un uomo condannato a morte ingiustamente per un reato che non ha commesso, e i True Beliviers lo liberano poco prima che venga giustiziato. Tornato in libertà, affronterà insieme a Bo un viaggio attraverso gli Stati Uniti dove incontreranno pericoli e ostacoli di varia natura.
