Story: Based on a famous Thai erotic novel, the film tells the story of Jan, a boy who grows up in a house lorded over by his sadistic and debauched father, Luang Wisnan. | | I watched with Thai wife tonight. She said many people talk about this film and she knows who the actors and actreses are. It is in Thai, not Issan, although some of the main characters are Issan and Luk Keung, half Thai. You will never see in a movie theater in Thailand. She believes there are more parts to this movie. I recognized some of the actors from Thai soaps, and damn, Thai soaps are some of the worst. Thais did not kiss like that back then (when I first came many still "sniff kiss") and she doubts even hi-so Thais ever dressed like some of the ladies. All in all, a good movie, if I could just get the subtitles so I could pick up on the parts I didn't understand and she had a hard time translating (Thai does not translate into English-it "transliterates"). |
