|  | I watched this movie and really liked it. It's become clear over the last decade that the Brits are much better at making madcap-action movies than Hollywood. I don't go for these kinds of films usually. For Example, I'd argue The Equalizer is a stinking pile of vomit. Quality is good BTW, A8/V8/M9. In short, Redirected is a film that embraces the kind of comic-book, bar-fight type action that is a respite from the endless "that could never happen" scenes so commonly found in action flicks (i.e. every scene in the Equalizer). Anyone who takes this movie seriously would think Lithuania is the least tourist friendly country on Earth.
All of which brings me to #30. There's another side to this piracy thing that people forget. I'd have never, ever, ever have paid to watch this movie. But now that I have I'll be happy to tell anyone what a great movie it is. I'll comment here, on Facebook, on Twitter, on Flixter, etc... With a low budget, limited run film you'd think you'd want early adapters to see it. It's the opposite of big studios who make trash like The Equalizer, and want to pocket as much as they can before the jig is up and people realize the movie is garbage. The vast majority of "film critics" are really just lobbyists bribed to further big-studio interests. So I'd argue that a certain amount of piracy can benefit well-made, small-budget films like Redirected.
If you want to keep it real, the biggest Pirate in the world by far is Google. YouTube alone has more pirated material available than all the torrent sites combined. |

I thought this Film was a huge pile of shite.
I thought it would be a quite realistic film but I was very wrong.
Its supposed to be funny too (though I wouldn't have known this without reading some comments on here)
I think I'll go watch taxi driver again just to remind myself what a good Film looks like and to erase this Vinnie Jones shite from my mind. |
