romaanitrilogiaan, joka on yksi suomalaisen kirjallisuuden
tärkeimmistä teoksista. Tarina herättää henkiin värikkään ja
väkevän aikakauden maailmanhistoriassa 1800-luvun lopulta
1950-luvulle.
