Lo show è basato sul libro omonimo di Michael Marshall Smith, pubblicato nel 2007 ed è scritto e prodotto da Glen Morgan, noto soprattutto per le sue collaborazioni con il regista James Wong, tra le quali vi sono X-Files, Millennium, Final Destination e Final Destination 3. ====== A detective of the police department of Los Angeles, after the mysterious disappearance of his wife, finds himself having to investigate a murder case. More investigations are continuing and more all the case he's working becomes much more complicated and absurd, catapulting him into a reality that never had imagined possible. The research will lead to the result of "Here Reverti", a secret society whose goal is immortality; reach that goal by becoming unwanted guests and strangers in the bodies of other poor and innocent people.
