Trama

Marty McFly vive con i genitori e i fratelli a Hill Walley: è un simpatico diciassettenne, che una sera incontra uno scienziato spiritato, il dott. Brown, il quale è riuscito a trasformare un'auto DeLorean in uno straordinario "veicolo del tempo". L'auto è alimentata da plutonio, che Brown ha sottratto a dei terroristi libici e questi lo tallonano per vendicarsi, finché gli sparano, poco dopo che il vecchio ha sommariamente spiegato a Marty gli elementi essenziali della sua creatura e le possibilità straordinarie che a questa si presentano. Così Marty, per salvarsi dagli aggressori, parte a razzo e tutto solo e si ritroverà nella sua stessa cittadina trent'anni prima, giusto nel 1955.
