The Turn of the Screw is a ghost novel based on supernatural fiction genre written by the American author Hery James whose notable works include The Portrait of a Lady, What Maisie Knew, The Wings of the Dove, Daisy Miller, and The Ambassadors.
A young woman is employed as governess for the two parentless children Miles and Flora by their uncle. The governess realizes the forlorn estate is haunted by evils and visualizes fiendish creatures seeking to corrupt the children by possessing their bodies and mind. Ironically the children have no terror of the lurking evil.
