Restless Souls of Sweden
GHI travels to Sweden to investigate one of Borgvattnetâ™s most famous houses, the Haunted Home of Priests. This house literally put the town on the map due to its continuous hauntings. Before it was an Inn, multiple priests living in the house feared the place to be haunted. Every room is alive with paranormal activity. Chaplain Erik Lindgren, bought a rocking chair. However, he was never able to sit in his chair for a longer time without being tossed off it by an invisible force. He also heard strange noises throughout the house including someone crying from within a room. One of the apparitions may be the lost wife of priest Peter Hedlund. After her death, he apparently took her corpse back to the house and buried it somewhere on the property. She now walks through the house as if chained to the last place was buried. Throughout the years, many priests have tried to drive out the spirits, but with no luck. The owner of the haunted Vicarage is asking GHI to confront the active souls of days past. Continuing their investigation of Sweden, GHI explores the terrifying witness ghostly stories at the 800-year-old Fortress Varberg. In the 1792 a major general named Carl Friedrich Pechlin was held prisoner at the fortress because he was accused of being the brain behind the conspiracy of the murder of the Swedish king Gustav III. At the fortress prison many prisoners were condemned for life and buried at the prison cemetery. People walking by the wall surrounding the cemetery have said invisible objects hit them hard. Others have seen a ghost appearing as a headless knight roaming through the fort. Some people have seen a ghastly blue shine that appears from the earth and disappears up the branches of some trees. Could the forgotten spirits be sending a signal from the hell below? GHI will attempt to contact the ghosts of Swedenâ™s past and once and discover the ghastly legends of the Swedish Fortress of Varberg.
