The remote Transylvanian mountains set the scene for GHIâ™s next investigation. Once the home of Romanian nobility, Banffy Castle is surrounded by tales of scandalous events and deadly consequences. Like the story of a young stable boy who was witness to a disreputable affair and was murdered in order to keep the secret safe. Today, the castle has become a school where many of its students claim to see the shadowy figure of a young boy roaming the grounds. As the night begins, Andy risks everything when investigating an abandoned shaft that leads to secret room, and Barry and Dustin catch some unusual evidence in the courtyard that perplexes the client. Then itâ™s off to Transylvaniaâ™s most notorious location, Poienari Castle. This strategically placed castle was once home to Vlad Tepes or “Vlad the Impaler” commonly known as Count Dracula. The mysticism surrounding the castle stems from its gruesome history. The cruel punishments and mass torture at the hands of Vlad weâ™re legendary. His remarkable ability to strike fear in his enemies was the inspiration for the bloodthirsty Count Dracula of the Bram Stoker novel. During the investigation all hands are on deck as the team tries out a new technique to capture any spirits roaming the castle grounds. While checking a piece of equipment, Barry makes a chilling discovery that puts the team on high alert.
