GHI travels back to Eastern Europe to explore the frightening hauntings of Predjama Castle. During the 13th century this medieval castle was constructed on the side of a mountain at the opening of a large cave. Its magnificent beauty conceals its grisly past. Within the castle walls barbaric torture and unbearable suffering took place. Behind a locked door lies a 63-foot pit where criminals were thrown to their death. The reports of footsteps and disembodied voices are believed to belong to those who suffered and died there. While investigating the cave, Andy and Brandy discover deposits of various minerals believed to be a catalyst of paranormal activity, and itâ™s here that Barry captures an unexplainable event on his full spectrum camera. Then the team heads to Cachtice Castle to investigate the chilling events that took place under the rule of a brutal countess. The stories of Elizabeth Bathory depict a violent woman who, on one occasion, struck her chambermaid hard enough to splatter blood across her face. She noticed the area where the blood landed made her skin appear younger. This event created the belief that by bathing in the blood of her maids she could maintain a youthful appearance. Elizabeth Bathory reportedly killed over 650 young women. During an intense investigation, Brandy witnesses shocking paranormal activity that leads the team to wonder if the countess has returned to her castle.
