This week GHI is called to investigate the Citadel Rasnov in Romania. This historic castle is nestled in an area that is rich in myth and legend. The castle was built around the year 1215 by the Teutonic Knights and was the site of lengthy and bloody battles. The castle is also well known amongst locals for its paranormal activity. Many have claimed to see shadows on the castle grounds and some have even reported seeing the apparition of a monk praying in front of a crucifix. The well that is located in the center of the fortress is known for its dark past and is not off limits to the team as Brian risks his life descending 143 meters into the dark abyss. As the team heads out into the night they are quick to learn that the extreme weather is going to make the investigation difficult, however the freezing temperatures and driving snow are not a deterrent to the spirits that still haunt this fortress of fear.
