When Alexandra Beaumont is murdered at the roadside, she finds her body being rebuilt in the afterlife by a strange demon known only as the Mechanic. He puts together her broken bones and stitches her wounds with a scattering of ash, only to prepare her for her resurrection and entry into an ancient biblical game where she will represent the Earth realm in a deadly battle against the Fallen - a violent and minacious race of extra-dimensional demons that want to spread their undead armies over the Earth with humans as their primary source of vile and torturous entertainment.

As the world's secret societies and Governments gather for the invasion, and the New World Order prepares the lambs for their new evil gods, Alex has until sunrise to defeat the five Fallen challengers and win the game that could bring Hell upon the Earth. With her derelict and war ravaged city of Blackwater as the arena, Alexandra not only has to confront the millions of cadavers that have a rabid hunger for her flesh, she has to realise and accept the greatest revelation of them all – she is not who she used to be, and her new hungers and desires are much more terrifying.

Originally a web project, we wound in the story, rewriting, re-editing and re-fleshing the chapters, hitting the zombie culture with the classic representation of the "Zombie" - they DO NOT run, dig, think or communicate like recent incarnations. These zombies just hunt living flesh, then tear it apart without thought, guilt, nor any other emotion that binds humans to our own morality. Somewhere in the city where three-million people fell ill, is one woman - but whether she is alive or dead... is another question entirely.
