Because mostly official release from Microsoft on Windows 8 Pro Retail needs a key during installation.

For those who want to permanently activate Windows 8/Windows 8 Pro/Enterprise just PM me.
I will guide you the process including links for references. Note : Do not install any activator after installing Windows 8 for
an easy & smooth permanent activation. There's no proper activators yet than can activate Windows 8 permanently. Mostly the activators
release for Windows 8 will just modify your system file tricking your system to be activated. That's why you encounter problems on
personalization & etc. This activators also can cause stability problem on your PC.

Waqar i need to ask something..Your previous Win 8 version is awesome but we cant install MS Security essentials becoz it gives error that it can be install only on genuine OS..I could not find the way to install it..

And Second thing is when we want to Add new features or Media Center then Microsoft asks our email id and then later sends Activation key but when we apply it,It gives error on the next step that activate your windows first..But in Properties it shows Windows is activated...Kindly guide me how can we add media center and add new features on Os....Thanks !

@45, because you are not permanently/genuinely activated. Using KJ activator will not activate your Windows 8 permanently,
it only trick your system that its activated by modifying system files which along the way will cause stability problem on your PC.
Try this to check if KJ activator activates your Windows 8 permanently : Run CMD command prompt as Admin then type sfc /scannow then hit enter.
It will run into your system. Restart PC.

I installed this version, had to run it from within Windows 7, used this key XKY4K-2NRWR-8F6P2-448RF-CRYQH, can't remember which activator i used. Would not let me 'personalise' it until activated, ran the activator and then i was able to change everything (start page tiles, desktop background etc) still says it's not activated though but the activator did something. Thanks for this.

It removes the activation, games app can't log-i, and the store can't install anything after the restart and the update. Do you have any idea what happened? or do you have any patches for this one. This is the one problem I keep taking on with cracks of win 8 today. I know that cracks are unstable as of now but will future cracks fix it?

bro m facing some problem regarding installation on my core i3 laptop. that is after completing installation when laptop restarted and after at first screen boot logo of windows 8 at that time laptop stucked at blank screen and there is no activity doing on laptop. just black screen and stop hard drive working and as well as dvd rom. i hv used many windows 8 versions including ur this version as well. but all time i hv faced same problem. but one thing on my pc m using win 8 wid wow. plz help me out

@waqarr update to #51 post. The store, games, windows update are the ones affected. Re-installed (with format) windows 8 then it does not accept the key when I try to activate so I used different activator (180 days). I will not update because it will cause errors with the apps particularly the windows update and store.

I appreciate your work here though!

Maybe I'll wait for the official releases of Windows 8 Loaders before I can update windows. It will be hell though because of the downloads

Just finished downloading .. works like a charm.. if I could offer one suggestion a 'readme' file would have be helpful although not required as i know how to use these types of downloads but other may not understand what to do with the 'P8_v25' provided .. you just execute it to clear up that license requirement. Works for me.. all options are available.. use the included activator then order a free WMC key from Microsoft website and add WMC using it then u'll fined ur copy is fully activated 4ever.. don't forgot to backup ur system partition for future use..

something showed up that said i need
to activate windows while
computer was on idle i have no water mark
pc info says it's activated,
and also on media center install it say i need to activate windows first

Waqar I hve bn using HP dv6.my laptop was with genuine win7 but I was found of windows 8 so I installed your given windows.after installing the fresh copy I fully updated my windows then I run your activator. Firstly It says ur windows is activated but very next day it show ur windows is not activated. Plz tell me how can I fully activate it so that we I can use store and HP support assistant and online functions??? But unfortunately this activator does not active windows permanent
