She moves in with her grandmother Jane (Ashley Crow) to Chance Harbor, Washington. When she arrives, Cassie realizes that everyone knows more about her than she knows herself. When she gets to school, she meets a wide variety of friends including Diana (Shelly Hennig) and her boyfriend Adam (Thomas Dekker), a Loner named Nick (Louis Hunter) and mean-girl Faye (Phoebe Tonkin) and her sidekick Melissa (Jessica Parker-Kennedy). Strange and frightening things begin to happen in the little town when they tell that they are descendants of witches.
