Each player can create a profile which mostly involves choosing different colors of clothing. With that chore out of the way, players get to choose from various single and multi player modes including Arcade, Championship and Freeplay (single player) and Slalom and Pursuit (multi-player).

Arcade mode is a straight-up racing game against computer-controlled opponents which mixes in beat-the-clock pressure to the play. Not only must players out-race the computer, they have to finish each stage of the race before the available time runs down.

The controls follow the standard for race games. With a nunchuck and Wii remote, the response is tolerable. With a Wii wheel, the ATV is so twitchy as to make the game unplayable. The race sounds are accompanied by a driving (and highly repetitive) rock beat. None of which marks this game as remarkable in any way.

Championship mode offers eight events spread across thirty races – for players who are good enough to advance. Each victory (or near victory) earns points which can be used to purchase better ATVs.

Slalom mode is described in the manual as a “five stage knockout event.” Riders compete in pairs for the lowest total score in two races through a set of slalom gets. The frustration caused by the controls can rise to a fever pitch as players try to maneuver back-and-forth across the track to hit the gates and maintain the lowest time.

Freeplay should take some of the frustration out of the equation players as it takes off some of the pressure. However, like in other modes, the game limits players to a single track until they have demonstrated that they are skilled enough to move on.

Pursuit (the game's last mode) is a split-screen multiplayer race which challenges players to be the fastest around a sprint track.

One positive feature of the game is the ability to modify the weather to include clouds, rain and snow. This, at least, provides a little variety in game play for those who are locked to a single track.

The graphics are decent, the controls are difficult, and players who aren't particularly skilled at racing games are likely to find this more frustrating than enjoyable. Except for Honda and ATV fanatics, this is a game that should be filed in the “miss” column.

"Scrubbed" refers to using the program wiiscrubber. What this program does is
examine the game image and looks for what people call garbage or unused data. This
is filler in the image that has no game data in it. Wiiscrubber takes this and
converts the code to 0s so that the image will in turn compress much more. The
result is usually a huge cut in size once the image is compressed. Some images will
compress to only a few 100 mb! Keep in mind that when you extract these images, the
images themselves will still be over 4gb in size. This process is intended to save
space for storing your games as compressed files. The games will play exactly as
unscrubbed images do, there is no game data missing. This entire process has already
been done for you!
