LimeWire Pirate Edition is pure P2P software; it does not depend on any servers operated by Lime Wire LLC or other companies. It does not include any adware or spyware, and it cannot be remotely monitored or shut down.

|  | I'll stay with utorrent; still wouldn't trust limewire or any claimed "pirate" version. Limewire is like Kazaa and we all know how that was used to nail users...
I'm going to take this apart and look at the code.. Explain why a basically a torrent client needs to be 72.8 megabytes in size?
It has three files: LimeWirePirateEdition 25,991 Apple DMG Partition Image; LimeWirePirateEdition 21,417 Application; LimeWirePirateEdition.deb 27,194 DEB File. Apparently one for apple users, one for windows users, and one for Linux users. |

|  | this looks like an FBI software to monitor the society that used to use Limewire. i recommend downloading it, but DO NOT INSTALL until everybody else has given it a safe feedback.
by the way am using uTorrent and works better for me than limewire used to. |

if you're worried about being tracked try peerblock or peerguardian (google it) best programs ever. :)

|  | @joeamie: I agree. You cant compare this to torrents. Torrents are better for the majority of file types you want to download such as movies, games and entire music albums. LimeWire and similar programs are much better for downloading separate songs. Ever tried that with torrents? It sucks.. |
