The Pacific tracks the intertwined odysseys of three U.S. Marines – Robert Leckie, Eugene Sledge and John Basilone – across the Pacific Theater during the Second World War.
The miniseries follows the men and their fellow Marines from their first battle with the Japanese on Guadalcanal, through the rain forests of Cape Gloucester and the strongholds of Peleliu, across the bloody sands of Iwo Jima and through the horror of Okinawa, and finally to their triumphant but uneasy return home after V-J Day.

|  | @ markie, RA: this is the HDTV 720p version and it is technically not possible to get the quality at a smaller file size (actually this is already too small imo, compromising the bit-rate for size)
the best way is to stream it from your hard drive or to get a hardware TV media player like the 'WD TV HD Media Player' or 'WD TV HD Media Player live' (if you don't have the PS3) - you won't regret it, trust me.
Good job eztv - you are the guys for the HD TV stuff!
Thanks goodness, the times of low quality and cd/dvd burning are coming to an end. Slowly but surely, so prepare.........

|  | Watched part 1 and can't wait to see part 2. I never knew as much about the Pacific campaign as most only learn about the European front. I will seed this for a long time.

|  | Im surprised to see no one mentioned that there are plenty of parts where the screen gets really pixelated for a few frames. This may be 720p but its not the best quality (cuz of that) |
