Bobby Flay - CBS Early Show Collection
For the Bobby Flay fans and digital collectors, enjoy this comprehensive collection of Bobby Flay videos from the CBS Early Show. As far as I can tell, there is no definitive list of episode names or numbers on the Internet today. CBS Early Shows web site indicates that Bobby Flay started to appear as their "Resident Chef" in December 2005. He still appears to the present day (October 2008). While the original 'episodes' did not have a clear title of this show, since appearing as the "Resident Chef", the show has also been called "Early On The Grill", "Early Cooking", Early With Bobby Flay", and even "Boy Meets Grill", the same title as his 8 season long current show. The frequency seems to be -almost- every other Thursday. In October 2007 he was on three days in a row, while his book Boy Meets Grill was released. While this is not a stand alone TV series, yet a most often 5 minute or so segment during the Early Show, I have numbered Bobby Flays appearances or "episodes" and titled them according to the matching web site articles and/or the original web streaming broadcast names, to produce some organization where little seemed to exist. As you will see the files also include the original broadcast date at the end of the file names. Normally Bobby appears on the Early Show set, either inside at a kitchen, or out on the streets of NYC. A few times he was not on the show yet they broadcast a pre-recorded video, some of the time recorded from Mesa Grill in NYC. And other times he appears at other locations, such as the South Beach Wine and Food Festival, in Southern California, etc. Lots of great variety. Most episodes appear to be unscripted, in some Bobby is obviously in a HUGE hurry to get everything into a few minutes, and there are some pretty funny things that happen as a result. This collection is nearly complete, (As of Oct 02 2008) yet there appear to be 5 "Missing" episodes. If anyone can find the missing episodes and share them, it would be appreciated. It appears as if Bobby has appeared 58 times as of Oct 02 2008 and this folder contains 53 of the 58 'shows', plus one Memorial Day web only ad. These videos are the highest quality available and as web stream rips in the original .FLV format from CBS. If you need a good free FLV player, I suggest Gomplayer.
