Dr Katz MP4 iPod Test Clips - PLEASE HELP

I am converting the complete Dr. Katz Series from DVD to MP4 for iPods. I started by converting them all to 2048bps, but see now that the smaller conversions might be better suited for download and the quality is not much worse. Converting them at a high quality takes just as long as low, and I have the DVDs, so I have no opinion.

Please help:

1. Do all the files play good on iPod (please provide details, iPod generation, etc.)?

2. Do they play good on other devices like Zune, or whatever device you have, etc.?

3. What is your overall opinion about quality, bigger the better, smaller the faster download, etc.?
